Modern House Retreat
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This lovely home is set back off Lake Windemere with a large rolling lawn, patio and massive screened porch. The task was to tie the indoors to the outdoor spaces with layering of tone on tone and subtle color and pattern. Our mission was to create a space our clients could deeply relax into and to find many private spaces to curl up with a good book or a weekend nap when coming to the Berkshires for respite.
All areas of the home were painted or wallpapered, new millwork throughout the spaces added storage and anchored the rooms, custom furnishings were locally made and installed along with upholstered benches and chairs and vintage rugs to give the space a well worn feel and layered effect.
Our next task in this home is the completion of the kitchen and baths which is to come in 2022.
